Favorable to meet the noble person.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nine in the Third Place (\u4e5d\u4e09): &#8220;The noble person is ceaselessly vigorous all day. In the evening, alert and cautious. Danger. No blame.&#8221; (Some punctuate it as &#8220;alert and cautious, danger, no blame&#8221; because ancient texts lacked punctuation. Modern interpretations vary, but each added punctuation mark risks limiting the meaning \u2013 like &#8220;breaking one of its wings.&#8221;) <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nine in the Fourth Place (\u4e5d\u56db): &#8220;Leaping from the abyss (or lingering in the deep). No blame.&#8221; (This line likely omits a character, meaning &#8220;leaping or lingering in the deep.&#8221;) <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nine in the Fifth Place (\u4e5d\u4e94):&#8221;Flying dragon in the heavens. Favorable to meet the noble person.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Top Nine (\u4e0a\u4e5d): &#8220;Arrogant dragon. There will be regret.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Let\u2019s briefly interpret this. Essentially, the attributes of these six positions all represent the dragon\u2014especially relevant to China\u2019s examination system. Frankly, all parents hope their children will &#8220;become dragons&#8221; (\u671b\u5b50\u6210\u9f99), whether boys or girls. (Though now it\u2019s sometimes distinguished: &#8220;\u671b\u5973\u6210\u51e4&#8221; for girls, &#8220;\u671b\u5b50\u6210\u9f99&#8221; for boys, but collectively it\u2019s still &#8220;\u671b\u5b50\u6210\u9f99.&#8221;) <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Your life philosophy is embedded right here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is your life philosophy. Each of us, in our own life, embodies these six dragons. It\u2019s as if a single dragon exists in six different positions, corresponding to the stages of the Qian dragon: <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">1.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Initial Nine Position: The dragon is called a &#8220;tri-habitat&#8221; creature\u2014aquatic, terrestrial, and aerial. When it&#8217;s in the water, it\u2019s the &#8220;Hidden Dragon: Do not act,&#8221; because your position isn&#8217;t ready. Where did Zhuge Liang live before emerging? The &#8220;Sleeping Dragon&#8217;s Abode&#8221; (\u5367\u9f99\u5c45), right? That\u2019s the &#8220;hidden dragon&#8221; state. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">2.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Second Nine Position: When fate adjusts, you reach the second stage: &#8220;Dragon appearing in the field.&#8221; This is followed by the crucial phrase: &#8220;Favorable to meet the noble person.&#8221; This is very significant. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For example: After you graduate with your master\u2019s degree, some of you may wish to pursue a Ph.D., especially those with strong language skills and deep academic foundations. Others may seek jobs. But frankly, today, graduating from university often feels synonymous with unemployment. Every university prioritizes employment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As a teacher, I genuinely cannot &#8220;take over&#8221; for each student, guaranteeing them a job\u2014I simply can\u2019t do it. Not just now in my old age; I couldn&#8217;t do it when I was young either. Yet, this is the expectation placed upon us. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Second Nine position is critically important in this process.The &#8220;timeliness&#8221; in &#8220;studying and timely practicing&#8221; (\u5b66\u800c\u65f6\u4e60\u4e4b) should not be interpreted merely as constant, patient repetition. You must seize the opportune moment. &#8220;Timely&#8221; isn&#8217;t enough; &#8220;seizing the moment&#8221; (\u8d81\u65f6) is best\u2014grasping the opportunity when it arises. Why? Because you are now the &#8220;dragon appearing in the field&#8221;\u2014your diploma is in hand. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But the key to &#8220;dragon appearing in the field&#8221; is opportunity, underscored by the vital phrase: &#8220;Favorable to meet the noble person&#8221;\u2014meaning aiding by a noble person or mentor. Once this opportunity arises, my fellow students, you must seize it.
